AILEEN FLORENCE (MACKAY) RETTENMYER

RETTENMYER, AILEEN F. (MACKAY) 96, of Ramblewood Estates in Coventry, passed away at Kent Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, April 12, 2018. She was the wife of the late John J. Rettenmyer. Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Robert E. and Edith (Jane) MacKay.

Aileen was employed for over 35 years at Bank of America. She was a Teller and Supervisor at the Elmwood branch and later the Bank of America branch in North Kingstown before retiring in 1984.

Aileen was skilled in needlepoint, she enjoyed card playing and spending time with her friends in the “Breakfast Club”.

She was the mother of Paul S. Rettenmyer and his companion Patricia J. Keenan, and John J. Rettenmyer Jr. and his companion Michele M. Carrier, all of Coventry. Aileen was the grandmother of Jessica A. (Ben) Turner and Hayley J. Rettenmyer. She is also survived by two great-grandsons Clayton B. Turner and Coltan P. Turner. Aileen was the aunt of John Maguire and his wife Patricia of North Kingstown. She was the sister of the late Edith J. MacKay and Muriel Maguire.

A Visiting hour will be Monday morning, April 16, 2018 from 8:00 am to 9:00 am, followed by a Service at 9:00 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte. 117) Coventry. Interment in RI Veterans Memorial  Cemetery in Exeter.
