CECILE M. (LEVESQUE) JOYAL

JOYAL, CECILE M. (LEVESQUE) 91, of Wisteria Drive, Coventry, passed at Kent Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 19, 2017. She was the wife of Arthur Joyal for 68 years.

Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Etienne and Anna (Chenard) Levesque.

Cecile and her husband, Arthur, are the proprietors of Joyal’s Liquors Inc., a family business they established in 1971. Cecile was incredibly devoted to her family, friends and to her Parish of Saints John and James in West Warwick where she was a life communicant.

Cecile was the mother of Denis R. Joyal and his wife Karen of Warwick, Paul J. Joyal and his wife Elizabeth of West Warwick, and the late Briand A. Joyal. She was the grandmother of Thomas P. Joyal, Emily E. Joyal, Sheena M. Secor; and the great-grandmother of Declan J. Secor. Cecile was the sister of the late Rene, Robert, Anita, and Annette Levesque.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 10 am in Saints John and James Parish, 20 Washington St., West Warwick. Interment in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted, memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 ( www.stjude.org ) will be appreciated. Arrangements by the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, Coventry.
