JAMES E. DAVENPORT

DAVENPORT, JAMES E. 81, of Deltona, Florida, passed away on December 26, 2017 at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial, Orange City, FL. Born in Pawtucket, RI, Son of the late James Davenport and late Sarah (Lingard) Davenport of Pawtucket, RI.  

Jim was a graduate of Smithfield High School.  Jim served in the Army National Guard and was a master electrician for Electric Boat, Groton CT for 30 years and retired to Florida in 1996.  

He was the husband of Brenda L. Nacci (Davenport) and is also survived by his daughters, Lisa A. Davenport of Warwick, RI and Jean M. (Davenport) Cunha of North Scituate, RI, granddaughter, Sherianne M. Somero and grandson, Matthew E. Cunha, and 5 great-grandchildren.  Also survived by his sisters, Martha Davenport of RI and Marjorie (Davenport) Boucher of NJ, brother, Robert Davenport of FL and the late sister, Elizabeth Davenport and the late brother, Joseph Davenport.  

A Visiting hour will be Tuesday morning, January 9, 2017 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am with a Service at 10:00 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117) Coventry. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Coventry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to assist with final expenses will be appreciated.
