JOSEPHINE A. (CAMPAGNONE) DENOMME

DENOMME, Josephine A. (Campagnone), 79, of Coventry, passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 in Georgia.  She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur J. DeNomme.

Born in Providence,  a daughter of the late Carmino and Mary (Capuano) Campagnone, she had been a lifetime resident of Rhode Island and enjoyed spending her winters in Myrtle Beach, SC.  She lived her last years in Georgia where her loving daughter Dianne cared for her.

Josephine, a graduate of the Community College of Rhode Island Nursing Program, was a dedicated and loving nurse for many years with the VNA of Providence before retiring.  A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, she loved life, had a beautiful smile and was a loyal friend and truly kind to everyone who knew her.

She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed working, taking care of family, cooking, tennis, golfing and walking.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Denise Iacobucci and husband Raymond of Sunbury, OH, Donna Izzo and her husband David of Coventry, Dianne Robertson and her husband Mike of Suwanee, GA and Darlene DiRocco and her husband Thomas of West Greenwich;  a brother, Louis Campagnone and his wife Jeanette of Lincoln; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  She was the sister in law of Frank Barbieri and the sister of the late Dolores “Dee Dee” Barbieri.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 27, 2018 from 9:00 – 10:30 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117), Coventry, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in SS. John & Paul Church., Coventry. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Warwick.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
