COUTO, MARIA TERESA (CORVELO) 90, of West Warwick, passed away at the Riverview Healthcare Community, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, October 19, 2017. She was the wife of Roger F. Couto for 63 years. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Mariana (Medeiros) Corvelo. She was the mother of Joseph F. Couto and his wife Rebecca of West Warwick, Maria C. Medeiros and her husband Richard of Scituate, and the late Edward F. Couto. Maria was the grandmother of Deric and Nicholas Medeiros and the great-grandmother of Brogan and Kaiden Medeiros. She was the sister of the late Ludres Soares, Inez Pacheco, Conceicao Borges, Julieta Bota, Fernanda Arruda and Berta Corvelo.
Maria enjoyed her family, cooking and shopping.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, 1 Sunset Ave., West Warwick, RI. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery will be private. Arrangements by the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, Coventry. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
