HELLIWELL, Melba H.F. (Fitzgerald), 94, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in Bradenton, FL. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert P. Helliwell.
Born in South Kingstown, she was a daughter of the late Horace and Susan (Segar) Fitzgerald.
Melba worked for the State of Rhode Island for over 20 years, retiring as a Supervisor in the Medical Records Department.
She is survived by her children, George E. Helliwell (Judy) and Nancy Franklin (Kenny); three grandchildren, Lisa Malajian (Kirk), Paul Santa and Angela Coughlin (Nathan) and four great-grandchildren, Charles, Stella, Paige and Nathan. She was a sister of the late Ellen Rowland.
Visitation will be held Friday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117), Coventry, with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Melba's memory to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005 would be appreciated.
