MICHAEL STEVEN MESSIER

MESSIER, MICHAEL STEVEN, 62, of Tollgate Rd., Warwick, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. He was the husband of Michelle L. (McSoley) Messier for eighteen years.

Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late Thomas J. and Angelina M. (Tavares) Messier.

Michael, having a keen eye for finding hidden treasures, enjoyed antiquing and frequenting area yard sales.

He was the father of Michael S. Messier Jr. and his wife Monique of Coventry, Sherry L. Messier of Connecticut, Chad M. Messier and Jessica A. Messier, both of West Warwick, and Rebecca M. Messier of Providence. Michael was the grandfather of Seth, Alex, Brandon, Dylan and Michaela.

Michael was the brother of Rosemary Webb of Coventry, Thomas J. Messier Jr. of Smyrna, Delaware, Robert Messier and David Messier, both of West Warwick, and the late Raymond J. Messier.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence St., West Warwick, RI.  Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society        ( www.cancer.org ) or to the National Down Syndrome Society ( www.ndss.org ) would be appreciated. Arrangements are with the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, Coventry.
