IANNOTTI, MILDRED V. “MILLIE” (RUSSO) 90, of MacArthur Blvd., Coventry, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. She was predeceased by her husband Giacomo E. “Jack” Iannotti in 1999. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Ligian and Rose (Barone) Russo.
Mildred graduated from Classical High School in 1945. Millie was an interior decorator for many years. She owned and operated with her late sister, Florence Vacca a custom interior design shop in Coventry. Mildred later managed the interior design department at Jordan Marsh. As an accomplished pianist and singer, Millie was a member of the singing group, “Three Honeys and a Bee”, these entertainers played many USO shows for the Troops during WWII. Millie also hosted a Sunday morning radio show, “Lillian’s Kiddie Review” which aired on WJAR radio and featured scores of talented children. After retiring as an interior decorator, Millie and her late husband and Sons, own and operate JIF Flowers in Coventry.
She was the mother of Giacomo A. “Jack” Iannotti, Edward R. Iannotti, both of Coventry, and Ronald G. Iannotti and his wife Toni of West Warwick. Millie was a loving Ma to Kerri Cannon. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great -nephews. She was also the sister of the late Etta Ciccolello and Sonny Russo.
A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 445 Washington St., Coventry. Interment in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. Memorial donations to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State (www.bbbsos.org) will be appreciated.
