STEWART, Nancy L. (Chester), 82, of Blackrock, Rd., passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. She was the wife of the late John P. Stewart.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John and Flora (Lee) Chester, she had lived in Coventry for the past forty-nine years. Mrs. Stewart was employed by the Coventry Credit Union as a teller before retiring to enjoy time with her many grandchildren and friends.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph Stewart of St. Johnsbury, VT and Patrick Stewart and his wife Ann Marie of Burrillville; three daughters, Sharon Stewart, Deborah Bankauskas and her husband John Jr. and Lynn Farber and her husband Jason, all of Coventry; a step-daughter, Frances Buratczuk; a sister, Mary Chester of Providence; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was the step-mother of the late Earl Stewart and sister of the late Joan Blust and Barbara Sheridan.
Her Funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117), Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in SS. Peter & Paul Church, West Warwick. Interment will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Monday 4-7 pm.
