PERRY, Jr., Ronald J., 57, of Glenwood Dr., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 26, 2018. He was the beloved husband of 36 years to Denise L. (Joseph) Perry.
Born in France, he was the son of Ronald J. Perry, Sr. and Lavada Lindgren.
Ronald was a MSgt in the Air Force National Guard and a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. He began his career as a computer programmer and office manager at Berge Consulting Group Inc. for over 30 years. He was an EMT with the Hope Jackson Fire Department, a baseball coach with the Coventry Little League for many years. He was also a member of Coventry men’s softball league, and enjoyed reading, golfing, archery, playing the guitar and had been a stuntman for years in Connecticut. He was a Board Member of the Anthony PNA in Coventry, belonged to the David Langevin VFW Post 449 in West Warwick and the American Legion Post 1001.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Keith J. Perry and Christopher J. Perry, both of Coventry, two sisters, Teri Perry of Washington DC and Lynn Beagley of Idaho, and his step-mother, Paula Perry.
His Funeral will be held Friday (4/6) at 10:15 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117), Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am in SS. John & Paul Church, 341 South Main St., Coventry. Military Honors will be held outside the Church immediately following the Mass. Burial in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be private for the family. Visiting hours are Thursday (4/5) from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ronald’s name to the Anthony PNA 1001, 15 Meeting St., Coventry, RI 02816 would be appreciated.
