STANLEY KOSTKA Obituary

KOSTKA, STANLEY, 75, of Flat River Rd., Coventry, passed peacefully, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, March 30, 2018. He was predeceased by his wife Donna L. (Daniels) Kostka in 2009.  Born in Fall River, MA, he was a son of the late Stanley and Lillian (Frechette) Kostka.

 

Stanley was employed as a Mail Sorter for the United States Postal Service for 30 years. He worked at the Pawtucket branch and more recently, the Providence Corliss St. location before retiring in 2012.

 

After graduating from High School, Stanley served his Country in the United States Marine Corps with a rank of Sergeant. He served two tours in Vietnam during the War.

 

He was the brother of Stephen W. Kostka and his wife Diane of Pawtucket. Stanley was the uncle of Kimberly J. Abbott and her husband James of Pawtucket and Stephen D. Kostka of Lincoln. He was the great-uncle of Hope & Faith and Haley and Brianna.

 

At Stanley’s request, his funeral and inurnment with military honors at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter will be private.
