WALLACE POTTER Obituary

POTTER, WALLACE R., 85, of Maple Valley Rd., Coventry, passed away surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Kent Hospital. He was the husband of Gloria M. (Jeremiah) Potter for 62 years. Born in West Greenwich, he was a son of the late Robert A. and Lola (Capwell) Potter.

 

Wallace was employed at the Suburban Propane in Coventry for 25 years before retiring in 1995.

He previously was employed at Koszela Lumber in Coventry. Wallace graduated from Coventry High School and went on to serve his Country in the United States Army as a Corporal in the Korean War. Wallace enjoyed cutting timber, gardening and the companionship of his granddaughter’s dog Brooke.

 

Wallace was the father of Robert W. Potter and his wife Sylvia of Coventry. He was the grandfather of Samantha M. Potter and Jordan E. Potter. He was the brother of the late Bernice A. Capwell.

 

At Wallace’s request, his funeral and interment with military honors at the R I Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter were private. Arrangements are with the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, Coventry.
