Annis May (Simpkins) Fullmer, 75, of Exeter, a loving wife, mother,
grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully on Saturday Evening at
home surrounded in the comfort of her loved ones. She was the beloved
wife of fifty-seven years to Ralph Ephraim Fullmer.
Born in Providence, RI on October 9, 1948, she was the beloved daughter
of the late Samuel D. and Bertha (Jennings) Simpkins.
Annis was raised in Warwick and was a graduate of Warwick Veterans
Memorial High School. Years ago, she was a Tool Maker at Gill Tool and
later Atlantic Tool until her true calling in life was to become a mother. Annis
and Ralph are the parents of ten children and their family became the
center of their lives. They enjoyed camping, watching their children play
sports and in later years watching their grandchildren play sports and
especially enjoyed watching the Boston Celtics.
In addition to her beloved husband, Annis is survived by her ten loving
children: Ralph E. Fullmer, Jr. of Boise, Idaho, Darrell J. Fullmer and his
wife, Valerie of Richmond Hill, GA, Allen M. Fullmer of Savannah, GA, John
D. Fullmer of Bamberg, Germany, Morgan E. Fullmer of Warwick, Dwayne
A. Fullmer of Exeter, Derrick A. Fullmer of Guyton, GA, Kevin A. Fullmer of
Coventry, Joy M. Fullmer of Portland, OR, and Paul J. Fullmer and his
fiancé Jessica Brennan of Exeter; a sister: Shirley Johnson of North
Kingstown; three brothers: Sam Simpkins of Exeter, Allen Simpkins of
Zephyrhills, FL and Paul Simpkins of FL; seventeen grandchildren:
Samantha Galbreath of Greenville, NC, D.J. Fullmer of Kernersville, NC,
Sophia Fullmer and Angie Fullmer, both of Boise, Idaho, Adrianna Fullmer
of Missouri, Trinity Nottage of RI, Mason Fullmer and Riley Fullmer, both of
Rincon, GA, Marc Lopes of Warwick, Zoei Vargas of Warwick, Cayleigh
Fullmer, Jasper Fullmer and Theo Fullmer, all of Exeter, Nevaeh Fullmer of
West Warwick, Dwayne Fullmer, Jr. of Hopkinton, RI, and Lena Fullmer and
Johnny Fullmer, both of Bamberg, Germany; and a great-grandson
Anthony McGraw of Boise, ID.
Annis was the loving sister of the late Peter Simpkins and Richard
Simpkins.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Committal Service on
Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 1 PM in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial
Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, Rhode Island. Please gather in
the Parking Area at the Administration Building after 12:30 PM where
funeral home staff will form the Funeral Procession.
