ANTONIO J. "TONY" MANISH, JR.

MANISH, JR. ANTONIO J. “TONY”, 74, of West Warwick, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, April 19, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Kathy A. (Brown) Manish for 51 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Antonio J. Manish Sr. and Mary (Cabral) Manish.

A lifelong resident of West Warwick, Tony graduated from West Warwick High School in 1968. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his Country in the Vietnam War.

After an honorable discharge, Tony was employed as a machine operator on the second shift, at the Arkwright Interlaken Mill for 37 years before retiring. He also was a skilled shellfisherman or “Quahogger” for 42 years on Narragansett Bay.

Tony had a great interest in history, he loved to relax and watch cartoons, but mostly spend time with his family.

He was the father of Kerrie Larisa (James), Maryann Gavitt (Michael), and Kayla Manish (Riley). He was the grandfather of Lindsay, Jimmy, Jacob and Natalie. Tony was the brother of Sister Kathleen Manish, RSM.

His Funeral Service will be on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 9:30 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd.,(Rte.3) Coventry. Interment with military honors to follow at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. Visiting hours are Wednesday evening, April 24, 2024 from 4 pm to 7 pm.
