BARBARA COLICCHIO Obituary

COLICCHIO, BARBARA A., 90, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Sunday, April 7, 2024. She was the beloved wife of 70 years to Carlo A. Colicchio, having recently renewed their vows this past September.

Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Francis N. and Mary A. (Marenaro) Harper.

Barbara and her husband Carlo raised their family in the Natick section of West Warwick where they made many lifelong friendships. She worked as a Medical Assistant for Dr. Augustus Marsella, retiring after 33 years.  She and Carlo enjoyed spending winters in Florida and road trips throughout the country exploring and visiting family. Always adventurous, she loved traveling and experiencing new things. Barbara enjoyed trying various crafts such as sewing, knitting, painting, and was a natural born artist. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and shopping and was always willing to try something new. Barbara was a voracious reader and was particularly interested in reading anything informative.  Barbara will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and compassion.

Barbara was the loving mother of Stephen Colicchio, his wife Mary, of Warwick, David Colicchio, his wife Catherine, of Brunswick, GA, Karen Colicchio, of Warwick, Rose Lasiuk, her husband John M., of Hudson, WI, and Carl Colicchio, his wife Susan, of West Warwick. Grandmother of 10; great grandmother of 15. Sister of Mary Harper Jones, Joan Maggiacomo, Thomas Harper, and Ann Sheriff. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
