CLAIRE I. CUNHA

CUNHA, CLAIRE I., 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 18, 2024 at the Alpine Nursing Home, Coventry. 

Born in the village of Quinnville, Rhode Island, she was a daughter of the late Donat and Blanche (Bussiere) Fleuette.

Raised in Bellingham, MA, Claire moved to West Warwick, Rhode Island where she raised her family. She worked at School House Candy for 30 years where she was an instructor. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and computer games. 

Claire was the loving mother of Charles Cunha III, Paula A. (Cunha) Buonauito, her husband Anthony. Mother in law of the late Teresa (Pastore) Cunha. Loving Nana of Justin Mastrofino, Michael Cunha, his wife Casey, and Anthony Buonauito; great grandmother of Michael Thomas Cunha. She was the sister of the late Janet Roberts (Claude), and Raymond, Henry, Donald, Normand (Rita), and Helen Fleuette. She leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews. Claire is also survived by her former husband, Charles Cunha Jr. Loving daughter in law of the late Charles and Mary Cunha. 

Visiting hours will be Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street (ROUTE 117), Coventry. 

Claire’s Funeral will be held at 9:45 AM at the Iannotti Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph’ Church, 854 Providence St., West Warwick. Burial at All Saints Cemetery, Warwick.
