JASON S. DENTON

DENTON, Jason Scott, 47, of Paige Dr., Coventry, passed away unexpectedly from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Friday, February 14, 2020.  He was the fiancé of Crystal L. Ferrucci.

Born in Warwick, he was a son of Roland D. Denton Sr. of Coventry and the late Laureen A. (Cary) Denton.

Jason, known by most as Jay was a hardworking, fun-loving man who was a master pipe fitter for Noremac Sprinkler Corporation.   He had previously worked in the same capacity for RI Fire Protection.  More than anything, Jay loved life.  He had three beautiful daughters and a step son whom he adored.   He was a very giving person who loved fishing, spending time with his family, cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers, as well as enjoying time at the Olde Theater Diner and, of course, riding with his Road Crew.  Jay was excitedly anticipating his upcoming nuptial to Crystal Ferrucci, his fiancé and partner of twelve years.  

Besides his father and fiance’, he is survived by three daughters, Morgan, Madison and Mackenzie Denton; a step-son, Riley J. Ferrucci; a brother, Roland D. Denton, Jr. of West Greenwich; a sister, Lisa R. Denton-Pichie and Kate Pichie of Johnston; a step-sister, Lisa Marie Denton of Coventry and his former wife, Christina Denton.  He was the step-brother of the late Mary Daugelaite.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 21, 2020 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (Rte.3), Coventry, with a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 pm.  Burial will be private for the family.
