MANUEL SERPA

SERPA, MANUEL, 78, of Salem, MA and formerly of Warwick,  passed away at the Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA on Thursday, April 18, 2024. He was predeceased by his wife of fifty years Maria Fatima (Cristo) Serpa in 2019. Born on the island of Pico in the Azores, he was a son of the late Jose Serpa and Argentina Delfina.

Manuel was employed as a mechanic for many years at the Original Bradford Soap Works in West Warwick before retiring. 

He was the father of Shelly M. (Serpa) Shimy of Orlando, Florida, and the grandfather of Aly and Kareem. Manuel also leaves his brother Jose Mario Serpa, a sister Maria DeSilva  and his dear companion Alda Garcia.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am on Thursday, April 25, 2024 in St. Anthony Church, 10 Sunset Avenue, West Warwick. Interment to follow at Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery in Coventry. Arrangements are with the Iannotti Funeral Home at Maple Root in Coventry. iannottifh.com
