ROSEMARY (SILVIA) HANNAGAN

Rosemary (Silvia) Hannagan, 76, of Coventry, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Kent Hospital in Warwick.  She was the beloved wife of fifty-six years to Wayne Hannagan, Sr., who passed on December 19, 2023.

Born in Newport, Rhode Island on March 31, 1947, she was the beloved daughter of the late John and Regina (Meagan) Silvia.

Rosemary was raised in Providence and was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1965.  Rosemary was employed in the Accounting Department for over twenty years at Rhode Island Hospital, retiring over twenty years ago.

Rosemary enjoyed watching “Reality Television.”  She also enjoyed baking cornbread, going out for Chinese food and trying her luck with the Daily Numbers; but she truly treasured spending time with her grandchildren either in person or talking and texting them on the phone or through Facebook.

Rosemary is survived by two beloved sons:  Wayne Hannagan, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl of Coventry and Christopher S. Hannagan of Coventry; four cherished grandchildren:  Tayla Hannagan, Wayne Hannagan, III, Shane Hannagan and his wife, Ella and Christopher Richard; two sisters:  Patricia Pina of Pawtucket and Maureen Silvia of Providence; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the loving sister of the late John A. Silvia, Sheila DeMedeiros, Janice Salzillo and Regina Silvia.  

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours on Monday, April 1, 2024 from 4 PM - 7 PM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street, Route #117, Coventry.  A Funeral will be conducted on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 9:15 AM from the Iannotti Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. John & James Parish, 20 Washington Street, West Warwick.  Rosemary will be laid beside her beloved husband, Wayne at Noon in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter.
