ANNETTE R. THIBEAULT

THIBEAULT, Annette R. (Richard), 87, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Village at Waterman Lake in Smithfield.  She was the wife of the late Arthur Thibeault.

Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Yvonne (Peltier) Richard.

Annette was a secretary at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church for over 15 years, a job she very much enjoyed.  She and her husband Arthur served as hosts at the rectory many times at special occasions such as visits from the bishop.  She loved her gardens, especially her roses.  You could often see her during the summer in her yard, deadheading her flowers so that they would always look their best.

She and Arthur loved to travel and enjoyed going out with friends.  But most of all, she will be remembered by her nieces and nephews as a sweet person who always had a smile on her face.  She regretted not being able to have children of her own, but she and Arthur lavished attention on her nieces and nephews, taking them out and always being there with hugs and kisses.  To many of them, Annette was like a second mother.  She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by a sister, Madeline Roberts of Coventry and several nieces and nephews.  She was a sister of the late Rene and Marcel Richard and Stella R. Moreau.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, West Warwick.  Interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick.  Visiting hours and flowers respectfully omitted.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, Rhode Island Chapter, 245 Waterman St., Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906 would be appreciated.
