AURELIO VENDITTI

VENDITTI, AURELIO, 53, of West Warwick, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, October 11, 2019 at Kent Hospital, Warwick. Born in Fornelli, Italy, he was a son of the late Pasquale and Maria (Zullo) Venditti. 

Before his illness, Aurelio worked as a Concrete Finisher for Cherokee Construction. He was the past president of the PIC Club, West Warwick, and a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys- where Aurelio never lost hope in seeing them make the Super Bowl this season. Besides being such a loving person, he will be remembered for his great sense of humor, whether it was his sarcastic jokes, his witty remarks and his famous eye rolls; he always put a smile on everyone’s face. 

Aurelio is survived by his siblings; Vincent Venditti and his wife Giovanna, Anna Pimental and her husband Carlos, Maurizio Venditti, and Marcella Bedard and her husband Michael. He was the beloved uncle of Alessandro and his wife Brittney, Marisa, Gabriella Venditti, Sabrina Majkut and her husband Sean, Jacob and Aidan Bedard; great-uncle of Luciana Venditti. Aurelio also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins both in the United States and in Fornelli, Italy. Aurelio will be missed by all of his friends (dawgs) especially, Chico, Brian, Don, Manny, Ricky and Lori.

“Our family wishes to thank the doctors, especially his oncologist, Dr. Ambreen Ijaz, nurses (3 South), and medical staff at Kent Hospital for their extraordinary care, love, and support they provided Aurelio and our family this past year. You will always be cherished by us all. He was blessed with many new wonderful friends he met along his final journey.”

Family and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence St., West Warwick. Interment will follow in Our Risen Christ Mausoleum, St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. Memorial donations in Aurelio’s memory to Sacred Heart Church.
