CHRISTOPHER COLWELL

COLWELL, Christopher J., 54, of West Warwick, passed away on October 29, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at Kent Hospital. Born in Derby, CT, he was a son of the late Clifford J. and Patricia Ann (Francis) Colwell. 

Chris was a highly decorated US Navy Veteran where he served his country at all corners of the globe, having travelled the world eleven times. He was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburg Steelers and Dale Earnhardt.

He leaves behind his brothers Kip Colwell, and his wife Andrea, of Greene, and Mike Colwell, and Robin L. Charest, of Coventry. He was a father figure to Amanda Bullock, of Newport News, VA. He was the best friend of Norman “Dusty” LaBonte of West Warwick. He was the brother in law of Diane Colwell-Blake of Coventry. He was the nephew of Mary and Timothy Leary of Greene and Ernie and Phyllis Francis of West Warwick. Chris was the uncle to many beloved nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Cheryl Ann Nolin and the uncle of the late Matthew E. Colwell. 

Visiting hours are Friday, November 2, 2018 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117) Coventry. Inurnment at RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Chris’s honor to Operation Stand Down RI (WWW.OSDRI.ORG) would be appreciated.
