PETRARCA, CLAUDIA MARIE (CAYOUETTE) 63, of Warwick, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, surrounded by her family at home after a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer.

She was the beloved wife of Ronald A. Petrarca, having recently celebrated their 44thwedding anniversary.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Horace and Etta (Petrarca) Cayouette. She worked at Roger Williams Hospital as Lead Accounts Payable Representative for 25 years before her retirement in January 2016.

She is survived by her loving children, Ronald A. Petrarca Jr. and Kelly A. Petrarca, sisters Barbara (James) Morriss and Nancy (Kenneth) Neri, Sandra and William Caron, Michael and Diane Petrarca, and Alfred Petrarca, 8 nieces and nephews, 8 great nieces and nephews, and her grandson Isaac, who was the light of her life.

A lifelong resident of Warwick, she was a long-time volunteer and board member of Apponaug Girl’s Softball for many years, where her dedication and love for the sport led her to become one of the league’s valued coaches. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
