DIANNE MANNING

MANNING, DIANNE E. (BALCOM) 71, of Blackrock Rd., Coventry, passed away at Kent Hospital on Thursday, November 29, 2018. She was the wife of Brian H. Manning for 22 years. Born in Northampton, MA, she was a daughter of Jeanne (Lindsey) Balcom of Amherst, MA and the late Reverend John M. Balcom.

Dianne earned her Bachelor’s Degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College and went on to earn a Master’s Degree from the Andover Newton Theological School. Dianne more recently had been employed at Ross Simmons in Warwick. She previously was employed at Bank of America. Dianne was a member of Harmony, a ladies barbershop chorus. Dianne belonged to the Shepherd of the Valley United Methodist Church. She previously belonged to the Limerock Baptist Church.

Dianne was the sister of John L. Balcom and his wife Marie of Merrimack, NH and Adrianne C. Balcom of Grafton, MA. She was the loving aunt to Lindsey C. Melchior and her husband Theron, Jonathan C. Balcom and his wife Sung, and Benjamin Balcom Onthank. Dianne was the great- aunt of Camille, June, Henry, Louisa.

Visiting hours will be held from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Shepherd of the Valley United Methodist Church, 604 Seven Mile Rd., Hope, RI with a Service to follow at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dianne’s name to Hope Library, 374 North Road, Hope, RI 02831 would be appreciated. Arrangements by the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, Coventry.
