DOMENICO VINCENZO DI ROCCO

DIROCCO, DOMENICO V., 88, of Azalea Drive, Cranston, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Kent Hospital. He was the husband of Angelina (Petrarca) DiRocco for 62 years. Born in Fornelli, Italy, he was a son of the late Luigi and Margherita (Petrarca) Di Rocco.
Domenico worked in construction for Local 271 before retiring. Domenico was an accomplished gardener and was known for purveying his quality vegetables on Quaker Lane in West Warwick.
He was the father of Melinda and Domenic Apollonio, Anna and Gelsomino Vizzaccaro, Maria and Ronald Williams, all of Coventry, and the late Elena DiRocco-Emery and Domenic “Mimmo” DiRocco. Domenico was the grandfather of Vinny Apollonio, Angelo Apollonio, Nina DiIorio, Antonio Vizzaccaro and Ronnie Williams; and the great-grandfather of Jackson Apollonio and Giulia DiIorio. He was the brother of Maria Lombardi, Pasquale DiRocco, Domenica Fracassa, Ida Rosati, Paul DiRocco and the late Vincenzo and Carmela DiRocco.
His funeral will be Monday at 10 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in Sacred Heart Church. Interment in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are Sunday 3 – 7 pm.
