DONALD W. HAMBLIN

HAMBLIN, DONALD W. Sr., 73, of Coventry, passed away on March 6, 2019 at RI Hospital. Born in Newport, RI, he was a son of the late Lyman Francis and Beatrice Mae (Gibbs) Hamblin. 

Don graduated from Warren High School in 1963 and served in the United States Airforce. Before retiring, Donald was the Assistant Operations Manager at Paul Arpin Van Lines for many years. In his youth, Donald enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, and football. He also enjoyed golfing, playing card games with friends, watching car racing and going for long walks. 

Donald is survived by his children Donald W. Hamblin Jr., Shane R. Hamblin, and Heather Hamblin; brother of Richard Lyman Hamblin and Joan of Warwick; uncle of Jennifer Larson of Exeter, Pamela Gencarella of East Greenwich, and Candice Bonn of Exeter. 

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte.117) Coventry, with a Memorial Celebration to follow at 1:00 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care would be appreciated.
