DORIS ANN (MORRISON) COURTEMANCHE

COURTEMANCHE, DORIS A. (MORRISON) 81, of Warwick, passed at Kent Hospital, with her loving family by her side, on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. She was the loving wife to Howard F. Courtemanche. They were married for 61 years sharing many thoughtful times. Doris was the daughter of the late Tont and Doris (Looma) Morrison.

Doris graduated from East Providence High School in 1955. She was a licensed hairdresser for many years. Doris was happiest when surrounded by friends and family. She enjoyed playing Bingo and cards. Doris had been a communicant and a religious education instructor at St. Rita’s Church. She also volunteered for many years at the Boys & Girls Club in Oakland Beach.

She was the mother of Howard R. “Bob” Courtemanche and his fiancée Susan A, Sullivan of North Kingstown, Mark A. Courtemanche and his wife Sheila of Coventry, Steven F. Courtemanche and his wife Sherry of West Warwick, and Thomas J. Morrison and his wife Patty of Coventry. She is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Her Funeral will be Monday, July 2, 2018 at 8:45 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte. 117) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Rita’s Church, 722 Oakland Beach Ave., Warwick, RI. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.  Visiting hours Sunday     4 - 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital ( www.stjude.org) would be appreciated.
