EDWARD GENDRON Obituary

GENDRON, Edward G., 79, of Scottdale Georgia, departed this life on June 30th

He was the son of the late Howard and Sophie (Siembab) Gendron and brother of his very dear sister, Veronica (Gendron) Brouillard and predeceased brother Howard J. Gendron.

He leaves his beloved nieces and nephews, Karen Fredette, Linda Rodrigues, Howard and Edward C. Gendron.

Edward was an Army veteran having served during the Vietnam era.

Subsequently, he worked for Eastman Kodak as a film processor.  He left Kodak to begin an ingenious silver recovery business salvaging silver drom used film, a most renumerative endeavor until the price of silver plummeted.  He then worked as a representative for the Nordson Co. until retirement.

Edward was a man of many talents and an accomplished and skilled sailor at a time when one relied on charts and dead reckoning, venturing on his boat Aeolus as far as 40 miles out to sea on his way from Barnaget Bay, New Jersey to Block Island, RI.

In winter, one could find him on the expert ski slopes in Vermont, especially, Killington.

He was also a skilled pool afficiado earning many awards as well as being a great Texas Holdem player.

Edward, a true Christian and Eucharistic minister, will be sorely missed by his many sport partners as well as his remaining family and many dear friends.
