EVELYN JEAN (OWENSBY) BJORKLUND

BJORKLUND, Evelyn Jean (Owensby), 72, of Meeting St., Coventry, a beautiful, loving, kind woman passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 where God placed his loving arms around our mom and carried her off to heaven where all her pain will be gone.  She was the beloved wife of 52 years to Paul E. Bjorklund.

Born in Knoxville, TN, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn J. (Ersland) Owensby.

Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and enjoyed cooking, especially for family gatherings and was an avid bingo player.  She worked for Engineered Yarns in Fall River for over 30 years before retiring as a Supervisor.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three children, Greg Noonan and his wife Donna of Cranston, Tina Bjorklund Trinque of Warwick and Debra Bjorklund of Jamestown. Jean was also the mother of the late Paul O. Bjorklund and Janet Noonan; two sisters, Betty Lester and her husband Norman, Carolyn Walters, Harvey Owensby and was the sister of late Teresa Shanhold, John Owensby and Greg Owensby, all of Elkhart, Indiana; 6 grandchildren, Paulie, Rosalie and Bianca Bjorklund, Ryan, Eva and Ross Trinque and 5 great-grandchildren, Xzayah Bjorklund, Christopher and Jacob Olivos, Jaydalyn Cruz and Avery Bjorklund.

Funeral Services and Burial will be private for the family.  A Memorial Service for Jean will be announced at a later date. Arrangements by the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, Coventry.
