IRENE MARY (MANSOLILLO) DE SANTO

DESANTO, IRENE M. (MANSOLILLO) 85, of West Greenwich, passed away at Kent Hospital on Monday, September 3, 2018. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Donato and Mary (Procaccini) Mansolillo.

Irene was employed as a cook in the State School Lunch Program for over 25 years before retiring in 1998. She later was a cook for several years at the Coventry Health Center.

Irene enjoyed traveling on many cruises. She also loved to dance.

Irene was the mother of Donna M. DeSanto of West Greenwich, Vincent C. DeSanto and his wife Nancy of West Warwick, and Caesar S. DeSanto and his wife Cathy of Sebastian, Florida. She was the grandmother of Michael (Jess), Caesar, April, Jessica, and Megan; and the great-grandmother of McKenzie, Lauren, Ryan and Ashleigh. Irene was the sister of Johnny Mansolillo and his wife Bette Ann of Johnston, and the late Louis Mansolillo and Josephine Casacalenda.

Her funeral will be Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 9:00 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saints John & Paul Church, 341 South Main St., Coventry. Interment at Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are Wednesday evening 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
