JEAN "John" DEMERS Obituary
DEMERS, Jean P. “John”, 87, of Brookdale Centre of New England, passed away at home on Thursday, January 2, 2020. He was the husband of the late Stephanie (Glod) Demers.
Born in West Warwick, he was a son of the late Albert J. Demers Jr. and Maria (Bosse) Demers.
John was a US Navy Seabee veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam. Later he worked at Electric Boat for 19 years before retiring in 1995.
He is survived by his step-daughter, Christine M. Carroll of Coventry; a sister, Lucille Robert of Hope Valley and two grandchildren, Carly and Claire Carroll. He was the step-father of the late Kathleen Stratton and brother of the late Albert Demers Jr. and Noel Demers.
Visitation will be held Saturday morning, January 18, 2020 from 9:30 – 10:30 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117), Coventry, followed by Committal Prayers and Military Honors in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
