JOAO P. "JOHN" MEDEIROS

MEDEIROS, JOAO P. “JOHN” 73, of Patnode Avenue, Hope, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, November 16, 2019. He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Kathy P. (Polos) Medeiros this past March 2019. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, he was a son of the late Manuel Coelho and Maria Jose' Medeiros.

John was employed as a machine operator for over 30 years at the Stanley-Bostitch in East Greenwich, before retiring. He previously was employed at the Bradford Original Soap Works in West Warwick. John served in the Military while living in Portugal.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, watching soccer and football.

John was the father of Jay P. Medeiros and his wife Tracy, and Matthew J. Medeiros and his wife Theresa. He was the grandfather of Trinadee, Mia, Jacob, and Jonathan Medeiros as well as many step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. John was the brother of the late Manuel and Joseph Medeiros.

His funeral will be Friday, November 22, 2019 at 8:45 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street (Rte.117), Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony Church, Interment at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick.
