JOE A. BRAGA

BRAGA, JOE A., 63, of Pine Orchard Rd., West Warwick, passed at Kent Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. He was the husband of Gloria M. (Carvalho) Braga for 36 years. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, he was a son of the late Francisco M. and Antonia (Melo) Braga.

Joe was a machine operator for over 30 years at Leviton Manufacturing Co. in Warwick, before retiring in 2004. He was an avid gardener and a handyman. Joe, a man of great religious faith, was anticipating his first grandchild, a girl in January 2019.

He was the father of Erica M. Braga, Jessica L. DaSilva and husband Michael, Elizabeth A. Braga, Joseph F. Braga and Christopher M. Braga. Joe was the brother of Maria G. Costa, Leonia C. Cidade, Maria A. Lima, Maria F. Medeiros, and the late Mary Lou Deus, Jose Francisco Braga, Luis Braga, Maria C. Braga, and Jose Francisco Braga II.

His funeral will be Saturday, September 1,  2018 at 9:00 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony Church. Interment at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick. Visiting hours are Friday 4 – 7 pm.
