JOHN PHILLIP HARTMANN

HARTMANN, JOHN P., 75, of Wakefield, passed away surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, July 18, 2019.  He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and was the son of the late John P. and Alicia (Serrano) Hartmann.

 John leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Eileen V. (Guertin) Hartmann.   He was the father of John P. Hartmann and his wife Christine of Coventry, and Robert A. Hartmann and his husband Joseph Malena of Hope Valley. John was the grandfather of Jessica Kirtlink, Nathan Brown, Michele Yarce and Nicole Hartmann and great-grandfather of Hailey, Milana and Marcelo. John was the brother of Gloria Wright, Judith Hill, Barbara Avella, William, Nellie, Mary, Alice, and Deborah Hartmann.  He was predeceased by his brothers Peter, Robert, and Richard Hartmann.

John was employed as a Chef at the Biltmore Hotel in Providence for over fifteen years. He loved to spend time with his family, was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and listening to oldies music.

A private family service will be held to celebrate his life on Monday, July 22, 2019 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM, with a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd., (Rte.3), Coventry.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Rhode Island SPCA, 186 Amaral St., Riverside, RI 02915 (www.rispca.com)  would be appreciated.
