KATHLEEN GIORGIO

GIORGIO, KATHLEEN (STREMBICKI), 64, of Machowski St., passed away unexpectedly at home, on Monday, December 24, 2018. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Edward Strembicki and Carole Frost (Ryan). 

Kathleen was a member of the National Association of Realtors. She was a Realtor for Yorktown Associates and Re/Max in Coventry before helping to found Real Estate Specialists, also in Coventry.  As a realtor Kathy found a passion for helping younger customers find their first home.  It was that passion, combined with a fierce determination and drive that led to her success in the real estate industry.

Kathy's favorite times were spent at her home on East Greenwich Avenue in West Warwick.  Planting flowers and decorating the house were two of her favorite past times. "Annuals have more color and they're worth the extra time to plant them every year!" she would say. The holidays were even more special there.  Christmas Eve was a big event; hosting an open house for family members, friends and associates each year.

She leaves behind her children, Darlene Swartz of Coventry, Daniella Giorgio of North Providence, and Frank Giorgio IV and his wife Kristin of Warwick. She was the loving grandmother of September Swartz, Nathaniel Swartz, Benjamin Champagne, and Jack Giorgio. She is also survived by her siblings Doreen Maxwell of Winter Springs, FL, Robert Strembicki of Oviedo, FL, and Richard Strembicki of Winter Springs, FL. She was a sister of the late Colleen Strembicki.   

Visitation will be held Monday morning December 31, 2018 from 9:00 – 10:30 AM in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Saint Mary’s Church, 70 Church St., West Warwick. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Kathleen’s honor to Habitat for Humanity (www.habitat.org) would be appreciated.
