LAUREEN A. (CARY) DENTON

DENTON, LAUREEN A. (CARY), 73, of Woodland Drive, Coventry, passed at Kent Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Lawson M. Cary Sr. and the late Hazel M. (Kenny) Cary.

Laureen was employed at Stanley-Bostitch in East Greenwich for many years before retiring. She previously owned and operated the former Pine Acres Jewelry Company. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her canine companion Daisy. Laureen also enjoyed fishing.

Laureen was the mother of Roland D. Denton Jr. of West Greenwich, Lisa R. Denton-Pichie and Kate Pichie of Johnston, and Jason S. Denton and Crystal Ferrucci of Coventry. Laureen was the grandmother of Morgan Denton, Madison Denton, Mackenzie Denton, and Riley Ferrucci. Laureen was the sister of Audrey F. Schmid of Exeter, Carl E. Cary of Coventry, and the late Lawson M. Cary Jr. and Alan R. Cary.

Visiting hours will be Saturday afternoon, December 15, 2018 from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, with a Memorial Service at 3:30 pm in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117) Coventry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Maple Root Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1484, Coventry, RI 02816 would be appreciated.
