MARILYN JANET (LEWIS) RICHARDSON

RICHARDSON, MARILYN J. (LEWIS) 93, of West Warwick, passed away at Kent Hospital on December 19, 2018. She was the wife of the late Walter F. Richardson Jr., a former Warwick City Councilman from Ward 2.  They were high school sweethearts that were together for 70 years. 

She was the mother of Walter F. Richardson III Esq. (Karen Roch Richardson) and John R. Richardson (Susan Fehner).  She was blessed with the most wonderful and loving grandchildren, Walter F. Richardson IV, Julie A. Richardson, USMC Staff SGT. (ret.) John R. Richardson Jr., Joseph F. Richardson and Jason P. Richardson.  Loving Great Grandmother of Weston, Walker, Samantha, Josiah, Hannah, Jacob, Caleb and Daniel.

Marilyn was the loving daughter of the late Senator Ralph T. Lewis Sr. and Justine E. (Stoeffler) Lewis.  She was also the older sister of Ralph T. Lewis Jr. Esq. and John P. Lewis.

She lived for her loving family and friends. In her working career, Marilyn was a secretary for her attorney son, Walter III.  She also recorded legal documents at city and town halls across the state.  She cherished every one of the friendships that she made in each town hall.

For the past six years Marilyn was blessed to be able to live at Quaker Valley Condominium.  She was so happy to make so many new friends there.  

Her funeral will be Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 9:00 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Christ the King Church, 124 Legris Ave., West Warwick, RI 02893. Interment at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery will be private. Visiting hours are Wednesday 3 - 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Christ the King Church would be appreciated.
