MARION K. (Bates) MACDONALD

MACDONALD, Marion K. (Bates), 95, of Read Ave., passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Coventry Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Vincent E. MacDonald.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late George A. and Sadie (Knowles) Bates.

Marion Attended both West Warwick and Coventry schools, graduating from Coventry High School.  She worked for Mary Baron Slips on production floor for several years.  

Marion loved her cats, wine, chocolate, and most of all, laughing. She was often cooking for her extended family, especially her nieces and nephews that considered her their second mother! 

She is survived by several nieces and nephews and was the sister of the late Edward Henry Bates, James Bates and Hazel Carlson.

Visitation will be held Wednesday morning, August 15, 2018 from 9:15 – 10:15 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117), Coventry, with a Funeral Service at 10:15 am.  Interment will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
