MARLENE YVONNE (SHOTT) MASSEY

MASSEY, MARLENE YVONNE, (SHOTT) 79, of Seminole Trail, West Greenwich, passed away at the Alpine Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was a daughter of the late Andrew F. and Lillian D. (Martin) Shott.

Marlene moved from Baltimore, MD to Rhode Island in 1973.  She lived in Warwick before moving to East Greenwich in 1993. She enjoyed gardening, creating arts & crafts and decorating for the Christmas Holiday her favorite time of the year.

She was the mother of Kevin M. Hopkins of Baltimore. Marlene was the sister of Betty Jean Maloof and her husband Norman of East Greenwich, Sandra L. Yingling, Charles Dean Shott and the late Andrew F. Shott Jr. Marlene is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

At Marlene’s request, her funeral services will be private. Memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated. ( www.stjude.org)  Arrangements are with the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117) Coventry.
