MICHAEL K. BARBER

BARBER, MICHAEL K., 63, of Coventry, passed away at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his loving family on October 2, 2019. He was the beloved husband of 40 years to Kim (Fraser) Barber. 

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Philip H. Sr. and Barbara J. (Moore) Barber. 

In his working years, Mike was a Letter Sorter for the United States Post Office in Providence. Among being an avid collector of autographs, coins, and books, Mike was also a lifelong fan of The New England Patriots, Boston Bruins, and The Boston Redsox. 

Besides his wife, Michael is survived by his brothers; Philip H. Barber Jr., and his wife Valerie, and Kenneth J. Barber, and his wife Lorri, all of Warwick. Sister; Maureen Moore of Lincoln, RI.  Mike also leaves behind his faithful companion, “Winnie” the Bichon Frise.

Visiting hours are Sunday, October 6, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a funeral service at 4:00 PM at Iannotti Funeral Home AT MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd (RTE. 3), Coventry.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Michael’s memory to The National Kidney Foundation (kidney.org) would be appreciated.
