PATRICIA C. (CARROLL) WILKINSON-CRUZ

WILKINSON-CRUZ, PATRICIA C. (CARROLL) 78, of New Park Avenue, Franklin, CT, and formerly of West Warwick, passed away at the Mystic Healthcare facility, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, November 28, 2019. She was the partner of the late Demosthenes “Dennis” Diamantes. Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Emory E. and Celia B. (Fields) Carroll.

Patricia was employed at the Griswold Rubber Company, LLC in Voluntown, Connecticut before retiring. She previously worked at the Bradford Soap Works in West Warwick, and the former Victor Electric.

Patricia enjoyed spending time with her six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Greece and Ireland, painting, bird watching; and in her earlier days, water skiing. Patricia found much interest in the numerous art museums she visited during her travels throughout the World.

She was the mother of Catherine A. Zahn and her husband Gary of Pennington, NJ, Patricia M. Gil and her husband Joseph of Stonington, CT, Sandra J. Lamb and her husband Linwood of North Franklin, CT, and James E. Wilkinson of Hanover, CT. Patricia was the grandmother of Joseph Gil (Melissa), Jerry Gil (Bethany), Maureen Lambusta (William), Justine Gil, Melanie Lamb, and Charlie Lamb. She was the great-grandmother of Nathan, Matthew, Ava, Madison, Abel, Myley, and Cooper. Patricia was the sister of the late Elaine Wilkinson, Barbara Smith, and Emory E. Carroll Jr. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and eight step-children living in Hawaii.

Her funeral will be Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 9:00 am from the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd., (Rte.3), Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 62 Pleasant St., West Warwick, RI.  Interment at Notre Dame Cemetery in West Warwick. Visiting hours are Tuesday 4:00 to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) would be appreciated. iannottifh.com
