ROBERT LAURENT FECTEAU

FECTEAU, ROBERT L., 99, of New London Ave., West Warwick, passed on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the West View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was predeceased by his wife Patricia (Carpenter) Fecteau in 2004. Born in Coventry, he was a son of the late Wilfred and Exilia (Dessert) Fecteau.

Robert was a maintenance foreman for 32 years at the former H.V. Collins Co. in Providence, before retiring in 1983. Robert was a WW II US Army veteran serving in the Pacific Theater of War and having fought in the India and Burma Campaigns. He belonged to the American Legion Post 2, the Knights of Columbus Gibson Council. Robert enjoyed golf and was a member of the West Warwick Country Club.

He was the father of James T. Fecteau and his wife Paula of Palestine, TX, Kathleen E. Lyons of West Warwick, and Elizabeth A. Cisneros and her husband Kenneth of Cohasset, MA. Robert was the father-in -law of the late Alfred G. Lyons. He was the grandfather of Christopher Lyons, Michael Cisneros, Jessie Hermans and Lori Spagnolo; and the great-grandfather of five. He was the brother of Normand Fecteau, and the late Sister Jeannette Fecteau (PBVM), Wilfred, Richard Fecteau and Cecile Collins.

His Funeral will be Wednesday, May 9, 2018  at 10:00 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte. 117) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Saints Peter & Paul Church, West Warwick. Interment with military honors in the Parish Cemetery.  Visiting hours Tuesday (TODAY) 4 - 7 pm.
