ROBERT EDWARD FOGELL SR.

FOGELL SR., ROBERT E., 79, of Ocala, FL and formerly of  Naples, FL and Warwick, passed away at RI Hospital, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, October 29, 2018. He was the husband of Patricia R. (McDonough) Fogell for 57 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Charles A. and Bertha (Powers) Fogell. Robert was the father of Patricia A. Lombardo (Frank) of Warren, Barbara J. Forte (Michael) of Coventry, Brian P. Fogell (Jordan) of Lake City, FL and the late Robert E. Fogell Jr. He was the brother of Deborah Marsocci of East Greenwich, and the late Charles Fogell. He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Robert was employed as a mechanic and later a Firefighter for the City of Providence for over 30 years before retiring. He served in the US Army during the Berlin Wall Crisis and also the Vietnam War. Robert belonged to the Knights of Columbus Mary Doran Council in West Warwick, and also the VFW in Naples. Robert enjoyed riding his motorcycle, NASCAR, gardening and the NE Patriots.

His funeral will be Saturday,  November 3, 2018 at 9:00 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church. Interment with military honors at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday 4 - 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit at RI Hospital, C/O RI Hospital Foundation Development Office, PO Box h, Providence, RI 02901 would be appreciated.
