ROBERT VANDAL Obituary

VANDAL, ROBERT G., “BOB” 84, of Coventry, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 15, 2018. He was the husband of Barbara (Szeflinski) Vandal. On September 8, 2018 the couple would have celebrated 62 years of marriage. He was the son of the late Delphis and Victoria (Messier) Vandal.

 

Robert owned and operated Bob’s Barbershop in Coventry for over 30 years with many loyal and valued customers. Previously, he was a cloth cutter at the former John Meyer of Norwich, CT. He enjoyed golfing and was a dedicated Boston Red Sox fan.

 

He was the father of Darlene Ryan and her husband James of Rochester, NY and Linda Belleville and her husband David of Coventry. Robert was the grandfather of Vicki Larsen, Jennifer Fournier, the late Scott Ryan, Amy Miller and Ashley Ryan; great-grandfather of Zachary, Emily, Paige and Brenner and brother of Ruth Jodoin of Coventry.

 

His Funeral will be Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 9:00 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte. 117) Coventry, with a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick.  Visiting hours Friday 4 - 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Lifespan Cancer Institute at The Miriam Hospital, 164 Summit Ave. Providence RI 02906 will be appreciated.
