ROGER E. CHAMPAGNE SR.

CHAMPAGNE SR., ROGER E. 79, of Grandview Drive, West Warwick, passed at Kent Hospital on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Frances V. (Rebeiro) Champagne. Born on Christmas Day, he was a son of the late Eddie and Isabella (Villard) Champagne.

Roger earned a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from Johnson & Wales University. He was employed as a Statistician for the Associated Press in Boston for many years before retiring.

Roger enjoyed following NCAA College Basketball, however, Roger especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was the father of Alison A. Barry and her partner James F. Clarke of West Warwick, and Roger E. Champagne Jr. and his wife Tina M. Champagne of West Greenwich. Roger was the grandfather of Michaela C. Barry, Brittany A. Barry, Nicole M. Lemery and her husband Ryan Lemery, and Ryan A. Champagne. He was the great-grandfather of Peyton R. Lemery.

His funeral will be Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 9:00 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saints John & James Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick. Visiting hours are Wednesday 4 – 7 pm.
