ROGER D. HISSONG

HISSONG, ROGER D., 59, of Andrews Ave., passed away peacefully at home, with his partner of 25 years Andrew Geller by his side on Thursday, October 19, 2017. Born in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, he was a son of Melvin and Doris (Walker) Hissong.
Roger was employed in produce for over 20 years at the Whole Foods Market on North Main St. in Providence. Roger loved travelling, the outdoors, time at the beach, cuisine, making new friends, his dog Coby, gardening, reading, jewelry and gemstones.
Roger was the brother of Jerry and his wife Peg Hissong and Doug and his wife Arceli Hissong. Roger will be sorely missed for all the love and care he provided to his family, friends, nephews and nieces.
A Memorial Reception will be Sunday afternoon, October 29, 2017 from 1 pm to 3 pm, with a Memorial Service at 3 pm in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte.117) Coventry. Following the Memorial Service, friends and family are invited to continue celebrating Roger's life at The Coventry/West Greenwich Elks Lodge #2285, 42 Nooseneck Hill Rd, West Greenwich, RI.
