RONALD A. "RON" FLAMAND

FLAMAND, Ronald A. “Ron”, 75, of Coit Ave., West Warwick, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Bentwood Nursing Home in Warwick.  He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Eileen M. (Neumann) Flamand.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Neree and Constance (Zannini) Flamand.

Ron worked for many years as a Police Officer and Dispatcher with the West Greenwich Police Department.  A member of the Teamsters Local 251, he was the Owner of D&R Construction Corporation in West Greenwich and had worked for South County Sand & Gravel, Valley Ready Mix and then retired from Cardi Corporation.  Ron was the first president of the Rhode Island Flamand Family Association and was an avid coin Collector.

Besides his wife, he was the loving father of Rhonda (Flamand) Burdick and her husband Kenneth, Constance (Flamand) Gray and her husband David, James Flamand and his fiance’ Lisa, Donna (Flamand) Contreras and her husband Paul and Richard Flamand and his fiance’ Tara; loving grandfather of Nicole, Joseph and fiance’ Kaela, Melissa, Angelica, Eddie, Dea’Vante, Bella, Reese and Aoife; devoted Pepe of Logan, Avyanna, Landon and Luna; loving brother of Mrs. Norma Barra of Cranston, Mrs. Anita (Tullo) Foisy of Sarasota, Florida and the late Kenneth Flamand and beloved uncle of Debbie Giamarrco, Denise Barra, Julie Pinheiro and Michael Tullo III.  

Visitation will be held Saturday morning, June 30, 2018 from 8:00 – 10:00 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117), Coventry, with a Funeral Service to follow at 10:00 am.  Inurnment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.  In lieu of flowers, donations to VNA of Care New England, 51 Health Lane., Warwick, RI 02886 would be appreciated.
