CHAMPAGNE, ROSE M., (PALLAK) of Jackson, New Jersey and formerly of Coventry, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, December 28, 2019. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, J. William “Bill” Champagne in 2009. Born in Coventry, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Sanocki) Pallak.
Rose attended Coventry Schools and graduated from Coventry High School. She had been a secretary at the former George A. Fuller Corporation in Davisville during WWII. She was later employed for many years as a dental assistant, bookkeeper, and receptionist with the late Dr. A. James Kershaw.
Rose was a Campfire Girls leader and a member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed flower gardening, sewing, crocheting, cooking and the Boston Red Sox.
She was the mother of Carol J. Beal of Jackson, NJ, and Cathy J. Pepper and her husband Thomas of Coventry. Rose is also survived by five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Her Funeral Service will be Friday, January 3, 2020 at 11:00 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (Rte. 3) Coventry. Interment at Saint Mary Cemetery in West Warwick. A Visiting hour will be prior to Service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
