DICAPRIO, THERESA J. (BUTLER), 90, passed away in her home on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Beloved wife of Victor DiCaprio, they would've celebrated 72 years of marriage in July. Born and raised in West Warwick to the late Francis and Veronica (Coutu) Butler, she lived there all of her life.
Also survived by her son Robert A. DiCaprio and his wife Suzanne; her daughter Linda (DiCaprio) St. Pierre and her husband Dennis; her grandchildren Michael Cornell and his wife Rachel; Jennifer Cornell-Smith and her husband Brant; Todd DiCaprio and his wife Amanda; and Chad DiCaprio and his partner Cara Coombs; her great-grandchildren Genevieve and Colette Cornell and Lyliend DiCaprio.
She is also survived by her sister Barbara Blais of CT and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Mildred Monroe, Madeline Loper, and Irene Leveillee; as well as her brothers Francis, Norman, James and Arthur Butler.
Theresa worked as a supervisor at the Leviton Manufacturing Co. for many years until her retirement. She previously worked for U.S. Rubber. She also worked as a housekeeper for several area families.
Her love of cooking was her passion and enjoyment. Nothing made her happier than to prepare a meal for her family or friends. We will miss her love and dedication to all of us; her smile and laughter brought us joy, filled our hearts and our homes. May she rest now in eternal peace.
Visitation will be Monday, March 18, 2019, from 4-7 PM at the IANNOTTI FUNERAL HOME, 451 Washington Street (Rte. 117), Coventry. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, March 19 at 11 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, West Greenwich. Donations to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care of Rhode Island in memory of Theresa would be greatly appreciated. Iannottifh.com
