THOMAS L. MCGUIRE

MCGUIRE, Thomas L., 78, of Blackrock Rd., passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, August 19, 2019.  He was the beloved husband of 54 years to Judith A. (Ruzanski) McGuire.

Born in Coventry, he was a son of the late Joseph B. and Delia E. (Salois) McGuire.

Thomas was employed for 38 years at Hoechst Celanese in Coventry before retiring.  He then worked in Maintenance for 14 years at Centreville Bank.  Tom had a love for biking and enjoyed his 50-100 mile rides all the time.  He also enjoyed wood working, gardening and especially watching his granddaughter play soccer and dance.  He was a lector at St. Vincent de Paul Church and Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church and was a member  of the Holy Name Society and the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Denise Arcand and the staff at Rhode Island Hospital for all the special care given to Thomas. 

Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Joseph McGuire and his wife Pamela of West Warwick and Matthew McGuire of Coventry and two grandchildren, Michael and Megan McGuire.

His Funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 am from the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (Rte.3), Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Vincent de Paul Church, Coventry.  Interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick. Visiting hours Thursday 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org) would be appreciated.
